.... and soon it is time to fly home again. The vacation in Switzerland past really fast and was as usual if I visit only once in six months pretty stressful. I spent most of my time with my family and some evenings with friends. It was great to catch up, but one week is just too short....
Now Mr. J.S. is freaking out on me about all the stuff that I bought here, things which in his eyes are totally unnecessary and which is probably true, but gives me a feeling of home when back in my new home. So here just a few of the things I bought:
- wet cleaning towels for kitchen and bathroom
- sugarfree cinnamon chewing gums
- cereal bars
- vitamin pills
- Parve chicken soup and soup mandels
- bags of tomato risotto
- tights and underwear
- crackers
and some more things.....
As usual we have much too much luggage and I do not know yet how we will manage without paying over-weight. We have two large suitcases, one cabin suitcase, one golfbag, one computer bag, 3 large paintings, a guitar, my hand bag and a small plastic bag with two crystal bowls. Oh and this time we are flying and not driving, so luggage is really limited - wish us luck :)

I can totally relate to buying stuff from home as a comfort. Good byes are hard hope it isn't too hard.
Hey, sorry about being out of the loop for a while now- I've been navel gazing a bit tooo much of late.
But hey, without trampling into a territory that's really none of my business, my opinion of your purchases is that they aren't extravagant at all. You shouldn't feel guilty about what you bought. Unless of course the other things were: caches of weapons, illegal drugs and slaves. And you didn't buy any of those things did you? No- of course not. So enjoy! And if you have to...ship some of it.
SW/FM: it's just so nice to have things from my different homes in my new home. Don't laugh, but I am still getting my hair conditioner from Israel.....
Amishav: it's not really what I bought, it was the amount of luggage that we had..... but it was worth the schlepp!
I'm one of those that choose a suitcase, just 1, and take only what fits.
Very nice blog!
I live in Israel, but am originally from the US- you should see all the stuff I bring back every time we travel there to visit my family (for example- something you have on your list- underwear!). Every year I vow not to buy so much stuff, and I have gotten a little better over the years, but my suitcases are still always stuffed to the max!
I see you're very busy too, I loved the back and forth Blog-Chats.
But real life has got to take a front seat.
Hi there. How are you?
