The long promised update

Its been a long time since my last blog entry and besides the obvious news, not much has happend.

The winter is finally over, spring is here with lots of sunshine, but not yet so warm temperatures.
My Swedish is getting better and better every day, I am still taking classes, although I think this will be the last one now. I am pretty fluent and am making less and less mistakes.
I started my new job almost 1.5 months ago and it has been very hectic since. I am trying to take it a bit easy and not stress too much, but it is hectic and actually I like it :)
I have been sick again, my imun-system is totally down and I am getting sick like every other month. This time I had Sinusitis and I had to take penicillin for 10 days. I finally met an Asthma specialist and she run some tests on me, my lung function is very good at the moment, which is great news! She gave me a new medication which should make me feel less dizzy.

The pregnancy goes great, the baby is due around my birthday, in October. I -luckily- did not experience any morning or afternoon sickness during the first 3 months (and also not later), besides being very tired and having more often headaches, I had/have no pregnancy-symptoms, which is nice.

The apartment renovations are finally finished, the only thing left to buy are balcony furnitures. And of course the baby-room but that will only be done after I gave birth.

I am slowly starting to look for names, so if you have any nice idea, please write it in the comment. We are looking for a Jewish or Israeli name, both girl and boy, since we don´t know if it will be a girl or a boy.

In less than 2 weeks we will finally fly to NYC, I can´t wait to be there, meet my friends and most of all shop pregnancy clothes :D

I hope to update this blog a bit more frequently, but honestly, not much is happening and I don´t want to bore you with my pregnancy topics. And right now I cannot think of much else then Babies and pregnancy :D

Hi There,

Glad to see all is well and good.

First, people like reading about pregnancy and sharing in your excitement. I think you should blog about it, you might be suprised.

Also, I like biblical male names more than female. And I like traditional names. So, I'd go with Jacob, Jonah, Joshua, Rachael, or Leah :) Boring huh?

Yes, I'm glad to finally have some news, although I suspected that you'd be very busy considering the last post.

Sorry to hear about your health issues- but hopefully that will improve. Its interesting to note that many women who have asthma actually improve during pregnancy so your experience there is not unique. The other thing that's really common is a focus on what's going on with your body- its amazing of course- I'll never know. HA!

Good luck on your clothes shopping!

I am sorry to hear you haven't been well, I hope you are feeling better real soon - at least you didn't have morning sickness though!

Glad to hear that you're feeling well with the baby! Sorry about the sinusitis and other ailments.

My children all have pretty modern Hebrew names and I love traditional, Biblical Hebrew names too. A friend just visited from Israel and said that in Israel "androgynous" names are popular, ie. good for boys or girls: eg. Noam, Noa, Gal, Tal.

There's nobody you'd want to honor by naming a baby after them? And if you remain in Sweden, I can't imagine you want to name a baby something really obscure that Swedes would have trouble with....

(my daughter, for example, has Israeli girls in her class named: 1) Pdoot 2) Shiraz. Those are tough names to go through life with when you live in Canada!)

I'm sure you'll pick something beautiful whether the baby is a boy or girl.

Tamara: We also like the traditional biblical names and will choose also one, but I am having a hard time to find the perfect boys-name. Girl is so much easier.

Amishav: thanks I am health again. I hadn´t have my Asthma under control in the beginning as I stopped taking my medication as it contains Cortison. Well, this was a very very bad idea. It took me months to build up my lungs again, but now I am fine - finally.

Baleboosteh: I am really glad for not having morning sickness. But now is anyhow the best time of the whole pregnancy. I am not tired anymore, I feel for eating again and my belly is not too big - fantastic!

Pearl: As you know my real name is an Israeli name and growing up outside Israel with this name was often not easy. I will therefore choose a Jewish biblical name and not a modern Israeli name. I dislike this current trend in Israel to give a child a name that can be both girl or boy.
